Callyncia Lanaux is a dedicated and compassionate mental health therapist who provides a safe, comfortable, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment for clients from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. She offers both face-to-face and telehealth therapy services.
Callyncia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Management Services from the University of Phoenix and a Master’s degree in Counseling and Development from Lamar University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Texas with five years of experience in school counseling and more than two years of experience as a therapist.
Committed to serving her community, Callyncia participates in a variety of community events and outreach efforts. She volunteers with high school mental health programs, partners with local community events supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, participates in back-to-school events and career days at all levels of education, and is a small sponsor of the NFF Poseidon Classic Competition.
Callyncia works with couples, teens, individuals, families, teachers, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Her areas of support include anxiety, depression, postpartum concerns, anger management, family communication, relationship challenges, self-confidence, grief and loss, life transitions, and support for individuals contemplating weight-loss or bariatric surgery.
She believes that meaningful change begins when clients are willing to put in the work. Her guiding philosophy is: “When you make changes in yourself, your changes affect everyone around you.” Callyncia also believes that “When you take care of your mind, your mind will take care of you.”
Her goal is to help clients develop practical tools, build confidence, improve emotional well-being, and create positive, lasting change in their lives.
